About usSoftCare was founded in 1994 by Dr.Gunvald Harket, Knut Skifjeld and Sigbjørn Skjervold, who still work together as the main contributors in the company.The business idea of SoftCare is to develop advanced software systems based on state-of-the-art computer science technology. Since the startup, the main customer has been Siemens Health Services, where SoftCare has played a key role in the development of the DocuLive Electronic Patient Record. (Highlights of the system are presented below). Current customers of DocuLive include all the 5 regional hospitals of Norway, the 4 hospitals in Akershus County, and a number of Pathology Hospital Departments throughout the country. In total, many thousand users (doctors and nurses) rely on DocuLive for the vital hospital patient data. Furthermore, the DocuLive Kernel is licensed to the Danish company Kommunedata, who develop and market their own Medical Record System in the Danish hospital market, with a number of installations. |
